Welcome to paradise

Cape Coral is located in Southwest Florida, directly at the Gulf of Mexico. The two cities Cape Coral and Fort Myers are separated by the Caloosahatchee River which is floating into the Gulf. Cape Coral is a lagoon-town and because of it’s approximately 400 miles of waterways it is often called the "Venice of America". Within 30 minutes from here you can easily reach the perfect beaches of the nearby islands Sanibel and Captiva by car or boat. Fort Myers – the livelier city – is called the "City of Palms" because of its 15 mile long palm alley. Here you have activities of all different kinds and Fort Myers Beach is a good alternative to the pristine beaches of the islands.

When driving through the residential areas of Cape Coral you will realize how clean this city is. This is mainly because of the building authority who does not allow somebody to move into a new house unless it is plastered and painted and the lawn is planted. In addition a certain number of trees, palms and bushes have to be planted. In necessary periods all lots without houses are mowed with giant lawn-mowers of the city authorities. The relatively low amount for doing this is taken from the property taxes of the home owners without permanent residency.

Cape Coral with plenty of its shopping centers offers something for everyone. There are 5 golf-courses in the city itself and about 50 in the range of 1 hour by car. Besides there are two marinas, beaches as well as countless tennis courts. For kids and "non-mature" adults there is a water park and since 1992 a science museum especially for children.

The festival highlight of the year is the Oktoberfest (the biggest in Florida!), which takes place on two weekends. Bands from Germany take care for a good mood and of course they serve Bratwurst und German beer.

Another top-event is the lights-festival of the boats on the third Advent. At the beginning of dusk more than 100 boats of any kind and size – all decorated with electrical Christmas lights – cruise through the canals.

CAPE CORAL IS A NEW TOWN AND IT IS A YOUNG TOWN

Only 20 % of the residents are older than 65 years, the average age is 42. Here, more than 125,000 people of all ages and social status have something in common: They have found their second home because they love the true Florida-Live-Style!

Maybe this is also the reason, why a "new-residential" and of course all visitors receive such a warm welcome.
