Eco-Park (Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve) Located a Caloosahatchee this park is a green gemstone right in the center of Lee Island Coast, offering pristine canoe- and kayak tours, a 1 mile long hiking trail through mangrove forest and marshland, a quite picnic-area and a visitor’s center. Rotary Park Environmental Center This is the latest park in Cape Coral and offers on an area of approximately 200 acres mangrove-wetlands and an original seedling nursery. Cape Coral Historical Museum Discover the fascinating history of Cape Coral. The Museum was established by The Cape Coral Historical Society to preserve the history of Cape Coral and Southwest Florida. Originally, the building was the clubhouse at The Cape Coral Country Club. Then in 1977, it was moved to Four Freedoms Park and used as a multi-functional facility. In 1983 the Historical Society moved the building to Cultural Park for the establishment of the Museum. Here you will also find a huge collection of shells and fossils, exhibitions that change at regular intervals, as well as a very impressive slide show.
